It’s tough times for the print industry, as we all very well know, which may explain why more and more covers are starting to look like advertisements for everything from designers to cars. Maybe it’s not ad dollars behind the all-Louis Vuitton Vogue Japan cover, for example, but it would certainly make sense.
Kaia Gerber proved, once again, that she’s a step above the other celebrity models, while actual celebrities (ahem, Selena Gomez and Katy Perry) delivered seriously disappointing covers. There were, however, some beautiful shots of Lupita Nyong’o, Oprah Winfrey and Angelina Jolie.
